For over six years, Frodi has travelled to castles, abbeys, and heritage sites across England — dressed in the manner of a medieval moneyer — to share the craft of medieval coin striking with visitors of all ages.

It is not a passive exhibit. Visitors step up, take the hammer, and strike a coin themselves using dies hand-engraved to authentic medieval designs. They leave with something real — a coin they made with their own hands, a connection to a craft more than a thousand years old.

It sparks curiosity. It creates memories. And it consistently draws some of the longest queues of any display at the events Frodi attends.

Visitors of all ages step up and strike their own coin using authentic hand made dies — a hands-on encounter with medieval craftsmanship.

Authentic Dies

Frodi sources his hand-engraved dies from a master Moneyer, covering periods from the 7th century through to the 16th. Each die is researched, crafted, and continually refined.

The Dies

Ten Centuries of Coin Craft

Frodi's die sets span from the earliest Anglo-Saxon period through to the Tudor age, each hand-engraved to authentic medieval designs. The collection continues to grow as Frodi develops his craft.
